My Approach
My approach to counselling is integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centered, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating complex life transitions—whether you're seeking clarity in your relationship, healing after separation, or building a healthier co-parenting dynamic.
I offer a compassionate and collaborative space where your experiences are respected, and your goals guide the process. Therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all. While I bring structure and clinical expertise, I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we co-create a path forward that honours your values, strengths, and challenges.
My work is informed by a deep understanding of trauma, emotional regulation, and relational systems. I take great care to create emotional safety, allowing you to explore difficult patterns and develop insight at your own pace. Sessions balance meaningful reflection with practical tools—helping you build skills in communication, boundaries, emotional resilience, and self-leadership.
Because every person and family system is different, I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills, and narrative and strength-based approaches. I also integrate principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and collaborative, trauma-informed divorce coaching.
Above all, I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about supporting you in reconnecting with your inner clarity, rebuilding trust in yourself, and creating more intention and integrity in your relationships and life.
