Most often counselling can help you cope with whatever challenges you are facing. Counselling will provide you with a safe and confidential space to speak with a compassionate and skilled therapist who has the tools and strategies to help you achieve your goals. Therapy is much different than confiding in family, friends and loved ones. Therapy can assist you in gaining self-awareness, deepening your understanding of how to successfully implement change in your life.

Often it can be very beneficial to include the whole family in counselling, when struggling with a child or youth who is exhibiting challenging behaviours. Working from a family systems approach, the therapist can work with the family to achieve improved and effective communication and effective strategies for reducing conflict within the family unit. This can be an excellent option for guardian’s and the young people to work together in a safe, non-judgmental space with a skilled therapist to achieve solutions and healthy ways of coping.
